Description

Project: Mystic is a short-form narrative game, set against the backdrop of the train service worker union struggle of the 1920s. Taking place in Aotearoa, the player must recount the events that lead to the mysterious disappearance of a train, and grapple with the truth that they find.

History

Project: Mystic Originating in a thesis project, Project Mystic is inspired by our desire to bring forward the under-represented setting of Aotearoa and draw from the developers’ experiences growing up here, as well as the experiences of the communities surrounding us. Project Mystic is Studio Witchwood’s debut release, and we’re excited to share what we’re capable of with the world!

Features

  • A unique exploration of Aotearoa narratives.
  • Beautiful low-poly art style inspired by weird and eerie fiction.
  • Explore an adaptive soundscape that transforms while you play.
  • Linear mystery that pairs logic puzzles and abstract character interaction.
